Life...well, it's life.

Well, I'm trying to be a bit more consistent with this little journal thing. Yes, I busted my arm about 9 days ago, but I'm becoming more used to typing with a cast on. In fact, with pain killers, I am mastering the art of using my left arm as a battering ram! Feeling pretty good about these things.

Tonight, or rather this morning, I am choosing to reflect upon a recent chat I had with my parents...haha...about 5 mins. ago. It was about a 2 hour chat. You see, today my mom wasn't feeling well and left some water running accidentally and and about a third of my house was flooded. Needless to say, my dad (who is extremely frugal in nature) was less than happy, and there was quite a bit of tension in the air, which seemed to last into the evening. Right before family prayer, a slightly "warm" discussion ensued, and I felt a bit uncomfortable. SO...they called on me to say the prayer, and I made sure to look for the positive and thank Heavenly Father for all the great abundance of blessings we do have. It is instantly humbling to pray to the God who gives you every good thing and realize how much His hand is in your life. I am daily thankful for my parents making the choice to be sealed for time and eternity in the temple, because it is a comfort, blessing, and landmark goal for my life. Reminding them of this always improves things :) After prayer, feelings were mended, and we embarked on a delightful recap of feelings and experiences from my parents' dating careers. All in all, after all was said and done, we came to the following conclusion: What keeps my wheels turning in life (especially dating) is the fact that I have a Patriarchal Blessing and can attend the temple for extra strength to press forward...

...But, coincidentally enough...leads me to the real basis of that discussion...that without the Atonement of the Savior Jesus Christ, none of this would be possible. I bear my very humble witness that He lives and loves each one of us, as does our Father. I testify of Their Divine mission, to bring us happily back to them, in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Other than that, my day was quite uneventful, though I did enjoy some recently obtained candies. :)
