Gratitude v.3

Today's gratitude is definitely Heavenly Father all the way. I had a wonderful conversation this evening with a great friend about my testimony. We somehow got on the topic of the Atonement and how Heavenly Father is downplayed a lot in our religion. It pains me that people feel such a disconnect to their own loving Father! The Atonement was hard on Him just like it was on our Savior. I cannot imagine how much pain He went through allowing His Only Begotten Son to suffer and die for us. How many of us would be willing to let our family members suffer and die for a whole continent of people who don't care or don't even know who they are? It is mind-boggling to think about. I love Him with all my heart, but am not the best at showing it all the time. I enjoy the time I have to speak with Him each day and pour out my heart and thoughts to Him. He knows me. He loves me. He hears me. He lives. And He waits to hear from you.
